Happy 2nd Birthday, Calista!

Happy Birthday Calista! She is 2 years old today! That is just crazy talk. :-)

I will have a hectic day, as I will be working, and then trying to make it home in time for a few family members and friends to come over and enjoy this cake I made, along with some ice cream! I had fun doing this cake. I feel all domestic or something. :-)

I had to mix my own colors, found some really slick gel colors that you mix into frosting. I am glad I bought two of the huge containers of frosting! This is a double layer yellow cake, with plain vanilla frosting. I like my white and yellow cakes....chocolate just doesn't do it for me! Chocolate to me is more suitable in truffles, brownies, and ice cream....ok, well really just about everything except cake. :-) Unless it is molten lava chocolate cake, and that is a whole new story!

I digress. I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my sweet little 2 year old! She is really a good little girl. She may have her share of temper tantrums, but they last a mere few seconds generally, and then she is on to new and better things.

I will post more pictures as they become available, after the party! I think next year is going to be really fun! She is really going to start appreciated the fine art which is birthday party throwing. :-)
